Step-by-Step Guide

   Click "Create Tournament"

   From the home page or navigation menu

   Enter basic details

   Name, date, location, and max players

   Choose your format

   Rotating Partners, Fixed Teams, Mixed Pairs, or Group + Knockout

   Configure settings

   Points per match, courts, rotation (see detailed explanations below)

   Add players

   Minimum 4 players required (or 2 teams for Fixed Teams format)

   Start when ready!

   Matches are generated automatically

• Everyone gets to play with everyone
• New partner each match prevents "locked in" pairs
• Great for meeting new players
• Individual standings (not team-based)

• Partners stay together all tournament
• Better for testing team chemistry
• Great for doubles leagues or practice
• Team standings (pairs compete together)

• Every team has one player from each group
• Perfect for mixed doubles (man + woman)
• Also great for skill balancing (pro + amateur)
• Requires equal players in each group

• Two-phase tournament with dramatic finale
• Everyone gets multiple matches (group stage)
• Top players compete for the title (knockout)
• Combines round-robin fairness with elimination excitement

Adding Players

Three ways to add players:

  Search existing users:

  Type a name to find registered players

• 2.
  Add as guest:

  Add anyone by name (they don't need an account)

• 3.
  Bulk add:

  Add multiple players at once from a list

Waitlist Management

When your tournament reaches max capacity, new players are waitlisted.

• Waitlisted players are automatically promoted if someone leaves
• You can manually promote players from the waitlist
• Waitlisted players cannot be included in matches
• Email notifications are sent when a player is promoted

Replacing Players Mid-Tournament

If someone needs to leave after the tournament starts:

1. Go to the Players tab
2. Find the player and click "Replace"
3. Choose a replacement from the waitlist or add a new player
4. The replacement inherits the original player's remaining matches

Pre-Start Checklist

• All players confirmed and present
• Courts ready and available
• Settings reviewed (points, courts, rotation)
• Players know how to use live scoring (optional)

Entering Scores

Two options:

Who Can Enter Scores?

Control who is allowed to update match scores:

Configure via: Settings → Match Settings → "Who can enter scores?"

Fixing Score Mistakes

Made an error? No problem:

1. Tap on the completed match
2. Click "Edit Score" or "Undo"
3. Enter the correct score
4. Standings update automatically

Ending the Tournament

When all matches are complete:

1. Final standings are displayed
2. Click "End Tournament" to finalize
3. Optional: Generate an AI summary of the event
4. Results are saved and accessible in history
